For the sixth consecutive year, Concremat has been highlighted in the Construction and Engineering category of the Valor Inovação Brasil ranking – appearing in 2nd place in the 2022 edition of the award. In the general ranking, Concremat was in the 52nd position, among the 150 classified companies from all segments.
The survey, which is in its eighth edition and is promoted by Valor Econômico newspaper and by Strategy& consultancy, of the PwC group, evaluates the 150 companies that invest the most in innovation in Brazil. In addition to the general ranking, the analysis identifies the degree of innovation of the companies by business segments, in a total of 25 sectors evaluated in 2022.
Only companies with a minimum of 5% private capital and minimum net revenues of R$ 500 million took part in the survey. The analyses are guided by the concept of innovation adopted for the survey, which seeks to identify the ideas and initiatives that create value for companies through new products, processes, business models, and services.
In an article published in the special ranking magazine, the CEO of Concremat, Mauro Viegas Neto, stated that innovation needs to be stimulated permanently. “The constancy of the investment and the commitment to innovation are more important in the long term than the volume of resources dedicated to projects,” he said.
Mauro also talked about the two main innovation projects developed by Concremat in recent years – and which have expressive results in 2021: the SIGA-OAE platform, which allows the efficient maintenance of special artworks, such as bridges and viaducts, through a digital twin; and e.volutive, Concremat’s unique construction management model that embarks on the digitization of all field processes.
The report informs that Concremat historically applies 2% of its revenue in innovation initiatives and that, for the technology to be integrated into the projects, the company has a technical directorate for the digitalization of processes, which works as an internal consultancy. The text also points out that Concremat has a Development Institute, to promote the formation of competencies for innovation; a network of specialists, to gather the most experienced professionals; and an Innovation and Sustainability Committee, to foster and promote the innovative culture.
